Course Aim: The aim of this course is to enable newly appointed and developing Religious Education Coordinators to become more confident leading RE in the primary school using up to date guidance, resources and expectations.

Content:

1. To provide opportunities for new and developing RECs to network with colleagues and explore and clarify the roles and responsibilities of a primary Religious Education Coordinator.
2. To look at required records, documentation and systems for the monitoring and evaluation of Religious Education including support for the professional development of staff and how to resource the subject.
3. To ensure that delegates are familiar with the preparation for national inspection. To signpost to various resources, materials and courses to support with Classroom RE, Collective Worship and Catholic life & mission.
